Audio and Video Tools

There are many audio and video tools to use in your classroom for making your  lessons more appealing to the students. They can also be used as an interactive tools. You can have your students record themself talkig about certain topic and sharing their work on a Padlet wall for other to see and give feedback.

I use these tools in both face to face and remote teaching.

The collection is so I will only refer to the most common and maybe familiar to you.

VOKI

Voki is a fun tool that students can use for homework, classwork or projects. Customize their appearance and what they say, and share with others! What is great about Voki is that if you don't have a headset with a microphone, you can type in your message and choose among available computer automated speakers with different accents. The default language is always English. But there are more than 20 othe rlanguages to choose from. You can record up to 60 seconds.

The students can choose many available backgrounds and animated characters. Of course some characters are under VOKI Premium but there is stilla wide range of the free ones.

You don't even need to have an account on Voki to create one, but of course if you do all your Vokis are saved in one place. Basic account is free but limited. Check it here.

Vocaroo

Vocaroo is a very simple, quick, and easy way to share voice messages over the interwebs. You can share the link of your message and you can even download it in MP3. It doesn't require students registration.
